Summer Fun Run/Walk Series
Sponsored by the Heartland Road Runners/Walkers Club and John Wood Community College.
Location: John Wood Community College Quincy Campus Meet at the outdoor water fountain
Dates: Thursday evenings, June 12 – August 7 (will not meet on July 3)
Times: 7:00 p.m. every Thursday
What to expect: Trek a 1-mile run/walk around the campus and/or Trek a 3-mile run/walk through the Spring Valley Trails arboretum – behind campus Any participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and have parental/guardian consent at the time of participation (forms will be available) Each week you attend, register to win an mp3 player that will be given away at the end of the series – one name will be drawn on August 7.
Registration: No need to register – just show up each week.
Cancellations: In the event of inclement weather, the Fun Run & Walk Series may be cancelled that particular evening. Call the rainout number at 217/641-4942 (voice message) up until 7:00 p.m. each Thursday evening to see if the event is still being held.
